EDGECOMBE HOUSE CONFERENCE CENTRE AND GUEST HOUSE

CONFERENCE AND ACCOMMODATION IN MIDRAND

WELCOME TO THE EDGECOMBE!

Edgecombe House is a three hectare family estate that has been owned by Russell Milborrow for almost four decades. Some years ago it was decided to convert the estate’s six existing polo stables into a comfortable, country style conference centre.

Following an extensive renovation programme, Edgecombe House Conference Centre was opened in 2001 and proved an instant success. It has steadily grown into a six roomed conference centre with an accompanying upmarket guest house conveniently situated just across the lawn.

The conference centre has a magnificent wooden deck with a dinning & entertainment area overlooking the lawns and the pool. The centre is surrounded by green paddocks and large gardens providing delegates with a country style, relaxed atmosphere. Three springbok roam free on the estate and there is an abundance of birdlife on the grounds.

Edgecombe House is conveniently located on the R55 in Midrand, within a few kilometres of all the main highways in and around Johannesburg / Pretoria as well as the airport.

The management and staff of Edgecombe House look forward to hosting your company at its next conference or looking after you as a guest in our exclusive, well appointed guest house.

Our luxury guest house was recently opened and has proven to be a very popular addition. It boasts four bedrooms, each with en-suite facilities, a large comfortable lounge with fireplace for winter evenings and an airy veranda for summer afternoon tea. There is also an evening bar and elegant dining area for our patrons.

Each conference and guest room bears a Christian name of our each of our family members through several generations, upholding a sense of family tradition and a personal touch.

Edgecombe Hose has strong ties with the local community and we believe in providing exceptional financial and educational support for all of our staff. We operate a profit sharing scheme with all of our staff in recognition of their loyalty and the exemplary service they offer to our patrons.

Security is of paramount importance to us and we have taken every measure to ensure the safety and security of all patrons and their belongings. Safe parking is provided for all delegates and under-cover parking is provided for all guests staying overnight. The grounds are protected by on-site armed security guard.

Edgecombe House has an independent electrical backup plant, ensuring constant delivery of power to the entire estate and, in particular, all conference rooms and utilities.
